ANDREW CATES
Andrew is the company’s co-founder and leads Operations. His background is in Finance. Additionally, Andrew resides and manages Segassia Vineyard on Mt. Veeder in Napa. He is fervent about his organic farming practices, caring for his vineyard, tending to his large garden, beekeeping, and raising chickens that have become more like pets than farm animals.
Segassia wine grapes are used to make award-winning wines. In fact, Segassia consistently gets 95+ point rankings by Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Robert Parker, and in blind California wine tastings. While Andrew is passionate about this aspect of the wine business, he wants to bring the power-packed dried wine grape to the masses. After studying the benefits of the wine grape’s seed, Andrew and his father worked hard to develop the patented way that makes the grape seed amazingly nutty and delicious. The drying method is natural, and it also enhances the flavor of the wine grape, toasts the seed, and concentrates all of the nutrients. Andrew’s dedication to the creation of this snack food has been a mission and a labor of love. He is extremely proud of the simple, all natural ingredients that are Wine RayZyn - - - dried wine grapes with seeds and stems.
